Greenville, MS – The United Way of Washington County (UWWC) Allocations Committee recently held its annual disbursement meeting, finalizing the 2024–2025 campaign by designating funds to thirteen local partner agencies.

"The all-volunteer Allocations Committee plays a vital role in the United Way process. These devoted community members give their time and expertise to carefully review funding requests, visit agencies, and ensure that donor dollars are used effectively and responsibly. Their commitment helps ensure transparency, accountability, and that every dollar makes the greatest impact possible in our community,” said Chad Freeman, UWWC Allocations Chairman.

The following agencies are partially funded by the United Way of Washington County: American Red Cross Northwest Chapter, Boys & Girls Club of Washington County, Community Counseling Center, Delta Health System-The Medical Center Medication Assistance Program, Delta Compass, Delta Kidney Foundation, Girl Scouts Heart of The South, Greenville Renaissance Scholars, Hodding Carter Memorial YMCA, Mississippi Delta and Nature Learning Center, The Fuller Center for Housing - Leland, Sacred Space, and United Way Housing Initiative.

Nathan Benzing, UWWC Executive Director, said, “We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and continued support of our community. Your donations make it possible for us to fund thirteen vital agencies that provide essential services to those in need. Each of these agencies plays a critical role in improving lives, offering hope, and strengthening the fabric of our community. Thank you for standing with us and making a real difference."
